Before starting my own company I worked in a number of specialised technical fields in the defence, airport security, and medical industries.
After completing a Ministry of Defence apprenticeship in electrical and electronic engineering I worked in range instrumentation on a wide variety of radio, radar, telemetry, and computer control equipment.
After leaving the defence sector I worked for L3 Communications Security and Detection Systems (now called Leidos) for six years as a field service engineer/site engineer installing, maintaining and repairing the x-ray security equipment that supported airport baggage handling systems. I worked on installation projects all over the world, including Cyprus, Czech Republic, France, Israel, Italy, Romania, Turkey, UK, and US. The Cyprus project was a one year detachment to oversee the installations of x-ray equipment at two airports, and then train local staff to support the equipment after I returned to the UK.
Since 2011 I have worked for medical imaging provider MIS Healthcare as a field service engineer, travelling to various sites (predominantly hospitals) to install, maintain and repair x-ray equipment of various modalities . I was involved with the Project Management from initial room surveys through to completing the installation of the x-ray equipment. Prior to install, I would conduct site visits to ensure that all building and electrical work met the agreed room specifications.
It is with this wealth of experience built up over the last thirty-plus years that I have decided to start my own company offering technical services across a wide range of fields.
